Exciting opportunity for sponsors and corporate partners

Challenge Europe is a major initiative from the British Council to address climate change. It is new and different from any other climate change project.

We have challenged groups of bright young people, aged 18 to 35, from all walks of life, to come up with ideas to tackle climate change. Today, over 200 dynamic and highly motivated ‘Climate Advocates’ are working together to develop over 40 ideas in 15 countries across Europe to cut carbon use.

To ensure that Challenge Europe reaches its full potential the British Council is asking the business community to support the initiative through sponsorship and by becoming corporate partners.

Using the unique platform of Challenge Europe you will be able to:
  • reach your target audience both at home and across Europe
  • demonstrate to your target groups and your employees that you are a responsible and forward looking business
  • demonstrate your company’s commitment to doing something real about climate change
  • build a genuine partnership with and work alongside the British Council, an international organisation with an excellent reputation and 75 years of experience in creating opportunities for people worldwide.
Overall, partnership with Challenge Europe offers a wide range of benefits to your company across CSR, Human Resources and Marketing functions.

There are potentially lots of ways in which companies / organisations can get involved with Challenge Europe. We are open to your ideas and will work with you to reach creative and innovative solutions that best suit your needs and objectives.

Cagri Öner - Being a Libra, spending one fourth of his entire life by changing jobs; two years in a bank, then three years in an environmental NGO which was followed by working as Youth, Sports and Intercultural Dialogue projects manager at British Council for six years. After all he decided to be a professional photographer and designer, a pursuit he started back in 1991. During all those years he has been active follower of all environmental related issues and have attended various workshops, seminars and summer schools in this field. He is a true example of the fact that transferrable skills really work, so he believes that he can transfer the skills and the experience he gained throughout the erratic flight of his career to this exciting project.
