Jana_Pavl__kov__.jpgJana Pavlíková graduated from Ecology of Forest at the Forestry Faculty of the Technical University in Zvolen. Since the completion of her university studies she has been with a local NGO called Slatinka Association. Slatinka monitors the region with the aim to identify environmental problems and involves individuals from local community in making decision to solve them. At present Jana is an external PhD student at the Academy of Science - Institute of Forest Ecology – doing a research in the field of mycology and fytopathology. Protection of nature, local heritage and the environment is the purpose of her life. She is fascinated by the way all the systems in nature work and wishes to inspire others by showing them how valuable and important these are.

Dániel Német G. - Daniel is 21 years old and just finishing his studies in environmental management. He is interested in all aspects of climate change, but mostly in the economic aspects of it and eager to find solutions that help the conversion of the economy (and society) to low-carbon. Daniel is an open-minded, outgoing and creative person with a sense of humor. He is also a pro kajak paddler and member of the national team since he was 6 years old. His hobbies are all kinds of sports from windsurfing to skiing, but he also enjoys reading and cultural learnings, and he tries to live his life at all times to the fullest.

Challenge Europe Video

  • Maher Nasser, Director of the UN Information Service, invited Climate Advocates to submit their 'Jezersko Principles for Climate Action to the UN competition 'What would you say to to world leaders?' UK Climate Advocate Jane Burston responded to this request by recording a short video about most important principles from the Climate Camp: binding emissions targets, an alternative to GDP, a fair deal for developing countries and accountability for delivering on agreements made at Copenhagen.
