Elisa_Gasperini_pic.jpgElisa currently works for The Development Fund, an environmental and development NGO in Oslo, in both the Climate Change and Central America teams. She has Law and Arts degrees from the University of Auckland and is half-Italian, half-Kiwi. Elisa believes that volunteerism amongst youth can influence and change unjust societal and political structures, and she is also International Coordinator and active board member of the youth organization “Spire”. Elisa is particularly interested in the ethics of climate change and its impacts on poor countries with low adaptive capacity. She has previous experience as Regional Coordinator of the New Zealand Human Rights Film Festival, Information Officer at the New Zealand Embassy in Berlin and recently spent several months working with a network of youth organizations in Malawi. She enjoys music, film, languages and dancing in her spare time.
