Elisa_Gasperini_pic.jpgElisa currently works for The Development Fund, an environmental and development NGO in Oslo, in both the Climate Change and Central America teams. She has Law and Arts degrees from the University of Auckland and is half-Italian, half-Kiwi. Elisa believes that volunteerism amongst youth can influence and change unjust societal and political structures, and she is also International Coordinator and active board member of the youth organization “Spire”. Elisa is particularly interested in the ethics of climate change and its impacts on poor countries with low adaptive capacity. She has previous experience as Regional Coordinator of the New Zealand Human Rights Film Festival, Information Officer at the New Zealand Embassy in Berlin and recently spent several months working with a network of youth organizations in Malawi. Ingrid_Lomelde_pic.jpgIngrid works with business development activities for Wind and Marine Renewable Energy projects in the New Energy Unit of StatoilHydro. She holds a Masters Degree in Political Science from the University of Oslo and is excited to see how the interaction between Business and Politics can create a path to a sustainable low carbon economy. Working through Challenge Europe is a great opportunity to contribute to this change in a tangible way, and at the same time challenge ones assumptions about how change can best be achieved as Challenge Europe is an excellent meeting-place for people with so many different perspectives and knowledge-bases.

Dragos Talvescu

PDF Print E-mail

Dragos Talvescu new pic_1.JPGDragos is a graduate student at the Norwegian School of Management in Oslo, studying international management and marketing with focus on energy, transportation, and sustainable development. Passionate about geography since childhood, he has long been fond of nature and cultural diversity, representing his country, Romania, in international geography competitions throughout the world during high-school. His friends think of him as an ambitious, energetic, hard-working person, always acting on his motto: ‘Dream your dreams with open eyes and make them come true’. As a climate advocate, Dragos expects to use his theoretical background in sustainable development to actually do something about climate change, rather than merely read and talk about it. He hopes to find his worldview challenged, enhance his leadership skills, and get a better insight into the Norwegian society. Let the low carbon future begin today!
