Laura Duggan

Originally from Dublin, Laura Duggan is currently studying an M.Sc. in Leadership for Sustainable Development at Queen’s University, Belfast. As part of this Masters, she is undertaking a number of work experience placements in the business, governance and non-governmental sectors, as well as working in conjunction with Holywood Transition Town on a plastic bag campaign. Laura is also involved with Voluntary Services Ireland and sits on their International Voluntary Projects Committee. Laura’s other interests include music, photography and sustainable/ethical fashion.

 
 
 
The Green Building project focused on promoting the construction of passive and low energy buildings. The reason for this was obvious as buildings are responsible for over 40 per cent of the green house gas emissions. As a result of this project a new NGO called the Czech Green Building Council was established.
