Czech the Tap photo competition winner announced! PDF Print E-mail

The Czech climate advocates’ project to promote the drinking and serving of tap-water organized a photo competition that now knows its winner. The remit was simple, people were asked to take and submit a photo with a tap water theme. The deadline for submissions was the end of December after which all entries were displayed on the project website. Voting took part during the first week of the new year with almost 600 votes being cast. The winning photo (on the left), which alone attracted over 300 votes, was announced on the 6th January 2011. The lucky winning photographer received a soda maker as their prize.

You can find more about Czech the Tap project here and also on the project website www.ceskopijevodovodu.cz (in Czech).

Lithuanian Climate Advocates decided to run an awareness campaign focusing on art and garbage. They wanted people to realise that turning one’s trash into treasure can help prevent climate change.
