Maciej Marcinek - He is in his fifth year studying at the University of Science and Technology in Kraków, majoring in Environmental Engineering at the Department of Fossil Fuels and Energy of the Faculty of Geology, Geophysics and Environmental Protection. Renewable energy sources (RES) are his specialty and his passion. He also works on a voluntary basis for a non-profit organization PN Energie Cites, which support RES and energy efficiency initiatives. He believes that one of the ways to reduce emission of toxic substances causing global warming and other harmful phenomena is to disseminate RES technologies. It is also vital to ensure that such renewable energy sources are used reasonably. In his opinion, Challenge Europe gives young people an opportunity to make good use of their potential in order to prevent climate change.
