Green Projection
Green Projection was an initiative aiming to both reduce CO2 emissions and make the society more aware of global warming and the importance of environmental consciousness. For two weeks in March 2010, the Swedish Climate Advocates made sure that their message was unavoidable.
. At 500 m2 the projection was a bold method of conveying information about the need to reduce CO2 emissions and global warming. Large images were projected onto a high-rise in the centre of Stockholm and due to the scale and position they could be seen from many parts of the city. This meant that their message reached an estimated 200,000 people. The projection contained interactive elements communicating a clear message about the issue of global warming and environmental initiatives from WWF, Municipality of Stockholm and some of the largest companies and organizations in Sweden. Afterwards the project has grown with projections organised for London, Copenhagen and Singapore in 2010 and 2011. Partner organizations for this project included WWF, the City of Stockholm, and Sweden’s biggest bank SEB. To learn more about the project have a look at greenprojection.org.
